Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:10, 13

If God has made your cup sweet, drink it with grace; or even if He has made it bitter, drink it in communion with Him. If the providential will of God means a hard and difficult time for you, go through it. My Utmost – Oswald Chambers

For starters, the saying ‘God doesn’t give us more than we can handle’ is a lie, he does allow hard times to come our way because we need Him. Yet we soon forget that we do. Some carry on through life as if they do not need God, and they refuse to acknowledge Him; and to some God extends mercy but to others he allows them to be overwhelmed and overcome, so that they simply waste away like the dust they are. God is not an evil God, but he is holy and he is just, and we are merely created beings who must be reminded of our dependence on God.

God provides the escape when we are tempted because of our own desires, we just have to take the exit. It is God who fights demons off of us when we walk in crooked ways and mistakes, we must come to repentance and change our ways. It is God who gives us the victory in all circumstances, but we must come to Him in prayer. God is spirit therefore we must come to Him, in spirit. It is God, who has power, we only have limited powerful.

In Colossians 2:15, one of my favorite scriptures and first scriptures that transformed by thinking, we learn that Christ resurrection disarmed principalities and powers the day of his resurrection. And in one of my favorite scriptures in Romans 8:11, if I am not mistaken declares that the same spirit which resurrected Christ  lives in us and will resurrect us as well.

This is the truth about our spiritual battle, it is termed battle of faith, but it is through the holy spirit we overcome.

One of my favorite songs is called Stand: remade by Chrissette Michelle, originally by Donnie McLurkin.

What do you do when you’ve done all you can
And it seems like it’s never enough?
And what do you say when your friends turn away
And you’re all alone, alone?
Tell me, what do you give when you’ve given your all
And it seems like you can’t make it through?

Well you just stand when there’s nothing left to do
You just stand, watch the Lord see you through
Yes, after you done all you can, you just stand

Tell me, how do you handle the guilt of your past?
Tell me, how do you deal with the shame?
And how can you smile while your heart has been broken
And filled with pain, filled with pain?
Tell me what do you give when you’ve given your all
Seems like you can’t make it through?

Child, you just stand when there’s nothing left to do
You just stand, watch the Lord see you through
Yes, after you’ve done all you can, you just stand

Stand and be sure
Be not entangled in that bondage again
You just stand, and endure
God has a purpose, yes, god has a plan

We must stand in the knowledge of who Christ is, otherwise we will be knocked over.

We must stand in the truth, otherwise we will fall.

Let’s pray:

Thank you father God, for today and your tender mercies which are new every morning. I thank you for your peace, and your constant fellowship with us, through your holy spirit. I pray for your people my God, for an awakening if any of us may be falling asleep spiritually in idleness, sadness, exhaustion or even neglect. I pray you will increase our convictions, and align our thoughts to yours. May we RISE IN FAITH AND IN LOVE FOR YOU. And lastly my God, may we be able to hold fast to your word, as it is a lamp unto our feet and a strong tower in time of need.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
