Devotional 10/24/2016

Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2

AMPLIFIED VERSION: Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].

Today for the devotional I decided to switch it up a little.

It is going to be a reflective questionnaire- in order to help myself and you. GREAT! These two questions lead us to define and dissect your expectations of life and yourself. It also helps us define where you need to go, where you want to break through to.

  • Name something that you are doing or have that brings you happiness
  • Name something that is going on in your life that makes you unhappy

What is your blueprint in life

  • blue·print
  1. a design plan or other technical drawing: plan, design, map, layout,
  2. draw up (a plan or model)

If we are unhappy with our life, in area, I have learned to create a new story.

You have to be honest about the story you’ve been living- what story?

Your life story.

One of the firsT things I have learned to do, is to admit that I am responsible for my life. Recognize the pain, forgive myself and decide.

Decide what? To make a change.

I also began to evaluate my likes, passions and desires. I began to separate myself from old ideas, labels and opinions which i identified with- and reflected on who I want to be 10, even 20 years down the line. I started doing this at 24, now I am 30- I can say it has paid off very well. I am not who I want to be, but thank God I am not the person I used to be!!!!

The first thing that I learned through Cindy Trimm, is to know who I am apart from what I do and apart from who I am to others. She asked what is something you do for free. This is when I acknowledge my gifting in coaching: encouragement, empowerment and discipleship. I do these things as if people are asking me for help, and I also do it greatly and at no cost.

I continued to train myself and investigate my soul as time went on, and I have made it a life’s work to help others in that same way I was helped. I am all about purpose and wasting no time. I seek prosperity, and not only the materialistic type.

We should remember that without health nothing can get done, therefore we much take care of our bodies. I have been working out all my life, but when I received illumination on how important my body is I began to adjust my habits in a greater level.

The final step to the evaluation which I have learned is to focus your energies on assessing these qualities in your possession, which are called POTENTIAL> And build your life around them, in order to bring them to full birth.

BE LOUD AND BE PROUD!

Once you know who you are, begin to trust yourself, and demand of yourself more. Take your self seriously. You are entitled to be assertive about your expectations and you do not have to fit into other people’s boxes. Be ready to stand your ground- keep in mind, this does not mean argue or defend yourself. This simply means, be true to you and do not be afraid to say no or to disagree.

  • Also do not be intimidated to making mistakes, if you wait until you are “ready” you will never get out there! You can even use your flaws to build your reputation, or your life message (brand).

Next thing you have to figure out is: Why am I here

  • You have to define a purpose
  • Create a vision for your life

Creating a story involves weaving all the pieces of your life together- the good, the bad, the ugly, the struggles and frustrations- this builds you up to change from a negative story to a positive story.
