For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12

I have learned to believe the bible. And the bible tells me that I have an enemy, and that his name is satan: he does exist and he is everything the bible says that he is. The devil is always out to conquer and destroy our faith, and our relationships.

I am learning that nothing is to be taken personal; that I have to forgive people and let them be. Not only when they offend me, but also when we disagree and when they are ignorant of things that I am knowledgeable in. I have observed that when we feel offended, rejected or angry, our emotions tend to lie to us: satan uses our own emotions and our memory against us.

The devil can orchestrate a situation that will make you go from zero to a hundred real quick! And in this way he can use you to destroy someone’s faith, or use someone else to destroy your faith or your relationship. Once we offend someone, or are offended- we can forgive or be forgiven- but human beings, we do not forget. So we all need to watch and control our temper, and avoid giving others anything to never be able to erase from their memory!!!

Another thing I have observed about our enemy, is that he is after our prosperity. In 3 John 1:2 the bible specifies that we have a life of prosperity.  We have a flesh which needs health, a life and a soul which are able and deserve to prosper. In order to fulfill the dream God has given us for this life, we need to be prosperous. Not necessarily financially, which would be awesome, but in all regards pertaining to this life.

Satan wants us to abort our purpose in God.

He knows us because he has observed us since our birth, and he knows which are our open doors- he knows how to use devices in this world to get us out of communion with God. When we are in communion with God, we are in communion with the spirit. But when we are carnal minded, we go after the things the flesh desires.

The flesh is sensual, meaning that it is based on the five senses: seeing, smelling, tasting, hearing and touching.

And this is the flesh’s guide and leader, when we are not in the spirit.

When we are in the spirit we are led by our human spirit. Meaning one of the two:

our human spirit is either one with God (1 Corinthians 6:17 & Romans 8:16)

or

one with a demonic spirit (James 3:15).

Let’s pray:

Thank you Lord, for your love and mercy. I come before you Jesus to present my flesh and my people’s flesh- to you, help us to not reject you, but to yield to your Holy Spirit. May We be spiritually led, and not be carnally led. Help us to resist the enemy, to see your presence as the reward and the promise, keep us from desperation and isolation Lord in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
