Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Hebrews 13:21

People do not know that when they suffer from any weakness it truly is a strength.

I’ve been giving some thought to character and attitudes. It has been drilled into me by the bible and church leadership! As I said in an earlier post, I really want my attitude to be better, especially because I am a representative of the gospel. If there is anybody that has inside knowledge to who we truly are, in our entirety, it’s God!

Success is achieved by developing our strengths, not by eliminating our weaknesses.

This is why God says that He can turn our weakness into strength.

If we stop to analyze characteristics we possess we can find a handful of good things, and a handful of bad things. And as it is normal to me, I look for the positive in the negatives. For example negative characteristics, have an equal positive trait:

  • People who are extremely anxious, they have super mental strength.
  • People who are defensive, are witty and detailed.
  • People who are sensitive, are adaptable and smooth in their affairs.
  • People who are clingy and dependent, are very committed people.

One of my greatest battles in life since I was small child is that I am hardheaded and sensitive. Instead of focusing on the fact that I am hard headed, I am actually strong willed. And instead of claiming to be sensitive, I choose to clarify that I have a discerning character. See if we focus on the negative, we get negative results but if we focus on the positive we will generate positive results. When I am sensitive and hardheaded, it will over power my hearts desires and get in the way of loving people and receiving love. If I focus on the qualities of being strong willed, understanding and discerning, I can be wise in decision making and determined to carry out whatever I want to do- including loving people and receiving love. A person can be very animated, abrupt and aggressive I know that it is much more than just having a bad attitude. What they truly are is passionate, driven and determined.

The only exception to these spiritual rudiments, is God

Not to be heretic but there is a positive to every negative, and a negative to every positive. There’s a yin yang, to life. Not that this concept is a God or a religion to be mixed with Christianity. But as gravity proves, everything that goes up must come down. Everything that goes around comes back around, as karma would put it. (Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism, New age, etc)

When God comes into the life of a repented heart, karma loses its power. If it’s God’s will someone can jump off a building and land perfectly fine, defying the laws of gravity. Although, I would NOT suggest anybody to do that. But we have known of instances where’s God’s miraculous power has outdid nature. Even with the old aged women, and the barren, God can give them a child if this is His will.

God can do the same with the weaknesses in our character.

Many people tend to stay stuck on the idea of a soulmate, and my life partner. And that is great, because we all want somebody to share life with but there is so much more we are place on this earth for. In order to become perfected in Christ we have to be in our pre-ordained position. This is how we know who is supposed to be around us, the friendships and relationships in our midst. Is is meant to be?

Let’s Pray:

Lord Jesus, Thank you for your glory and your love. Thank you for your spirit and your guidance. I pray for us as a whole generation God, that you may help us all out of the abyss of false religions coming from spiritual powers in high places. I pray for our characters and self image develop in healthy and prosperous ways, and I present to you our spiritual eyes that you may protect our spiritual vision and the goal we have set our eyes on. In Jesus name, Amen.
