And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise. Hebrews 11:11
It’s not on our time, but in God’s appointed time.
We have to remember and know that the same way God gave Adam his wife Eve, He will provide for us as well. It’s not on our time, but in God’s appointed time. The bible says it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18); the woman was made to be a help to the man. Are you a help to anybody?
It is interesting, because God knew the type of help Adam needed. Could it be that He knows the type of help that you need?
If God’s word says that for everything there is a season, and a time for every thing that happens under the sun… then why do we have this uneasiness and anxiety in regards to God’s timing? Even though we can be impatient, and hungry for sex, God has the power to empower us through his spirit. To wait, and to be abstinent. By His power we can abstain from anything really, but that’s if and only if we truly desire it and yield to God’s spirit.
It is so funny when I think back on my days as a young convert. I had a crush on this guy: I was attracted to him by the passion he had for the Lord and also the things which concerned him in the community impressed me. I watched him, and began to desire him of course, and one day as he passed by me I heard the voice of Holy Spirit say “Do not covet”. And just the other day I saw him on Instagram, and I could not help myself and giggled for a few minutes. I saw that he has a wife now and a child, and God fought on her behalf for her man. So I’d like to say that God is fighting on my behalf, for the man that is ordained for me.
Our duty is to delight our self in the LORD, so that God would give us the desires of our heart.

I know Jonathan is my husband to be, because God chose Him, not exactly for me, but for His own purpose for us. I received that promise over 3 years ago, God told me “tonight you will meet your husband”, and I did. the same guy from my dreams, literally. I sometimes resent this, because I do not have the freedom many have, to choose their partners. And I am guilty of wondering if I have aborted this promise, for my actions in disobedience- but to God be the glory because one day I will testify of God’s faithfulness. I firmly believe that He is a covenant keeping God.
God promised Abraham a child, and Sarah took it upon her own human logic to give Abraham a child. And God could have changed his mind and settled to make Ishmael the promised child; but God was faithful even when they were unbelieving and unfaithful.
BUT GOD. You are Almighty lord, and you are all knowing. I know you see the end from the beginning and Lord even when we do not know our next step you do, and your sovereignty works things out in our favor. I pray for forgiveness on behalf of the believers who have settled in their walk with you, who have fainted in striving for your name’s glory and those who have made mistakes, and think you cannot turn things around. I pray we would not give way to the flesh and human logic, but that our faith would be refreshed and that our lives be restored. In Jesus name, Amen.
