Devotional 3/7

I create the blacksmith who fires up his forge, and makes a weapon designed to kill.
I also create the destroyer- no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lordand this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord. Isaiah 54:15-17

God made the weapons that are coming against you.

They are no strange thing to him.

In Acts 27, we learn of Paul encountering a shipwreck. The ship was full with 276 men, prisoners, and guards. They encountered really bad weather, and the ship began to be driven by the winds and waves, and they were forced to throw away the lifeboat and other cargo. Holy spirit told Paul, ‘none of you will die, you will all make it to the other side alive’. Talk about believing God in the middle of a life or death storm.

The bible says that we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus, meaning that if we hold on to what God word and what He has spoken over our destiny we will make it through every storm. In this case, Paul stood firm in what Holy spirit had spoken to him. And we can see that one man’s courage to stand strong in faith, was a catalyst for strength and courage to sustain the rest of the men, through their storm.

If God, the creator of heaven and earth, of things seen and unseen: the creator of the weather, the human body, our emotions, and made even the devil,

why should we fear?

One advice we hear often is “Guard your heart”, but what are we doing with that scripture? Are we really monitoring our thoughts, emotions and decisions? If God, the creator of heaven and earth, of things seen and unseen: the creator of the weather, the human body, our emotions, and made even the devil, why do we doubt that we can make it? We will survive, because God’s grace sustains us. We will overcome because our faith in Jesus has already overcome the world. We will win because Jesus already defeated Satan. We have the victory over death, we have eternal life. We have success in life, because God died to give us life and life in abundance. We are not sick, we are healed because Jesus stripes healed us, maybe we feel the pains and aches but we will not be overcome.

In Luke 22:31-32, the enemy wanted to sift Peter wheat, but Jesus prayed that your faith may not fail. Sift as wheat means tear the wheat apart: Satan wants to tear us up! But Jesus prayed for us to be held together by our faith.

Guard your heart, where is your faith? Guard your heart, what are u believing in? guard your heart, believe God had plans and not that after you denied Jesus, those plans are aborted. Guard your heart, and trust that Jesus can protect you from all harm. Guard your heart, and know that God’s angels are watching over you, and that God can and will deliver you from all demonic oppression. Guard your heart and know what you are storing and receiving in there.

Let’s pray:

My God, my lord, my Savior: thank you. I thank you for your love and mercy, your strength, your peace and your courage. thank you for your transforming power, which has rescued me time and time again from caves of fear and depression. I present to you each person, in the middle of a storm right now. I present to you their hearts, their minds and their suffering. May your word be their ROCK, may your presence be their wisdom and comfort, may you become what they need you to be: doctor, father, friend, counselor. May they be at ease, knowing , declaring and believing that this storm will pass. In the mighty and wonderful name of Jesus, Amen.
