But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57
Something will grow from all you are going through. And it will be YOU.
- an act of defeating an enemy or opponent in a battle, game, or other competition; success, triumph, conquest, win, favorable result;
God promises to bring good out of the storms that bring devastation to your life.
But that is only when, and if we do not give up! The bible warns us to keep going, and to not become tired before receiving the harvest. We have discouragement, fear, disappointment and weariness come to us before we see God turn it around for our good. But God already has your victory planned out for you.
I’ve learned that what I do during an attack and how I respond in my attitude and thinking will decide my outcome. You can never get a positive outcome, with a negative mind-frame. We can’t be up one day and down the next, even though we are mostly this kind of believer. We all have cave moments, like Elijah who hid in a cave and hoped to die. We are have had wrongs done to us, like Joseph imprisoned unjustly. We have all had leprosy because we spoke against the man of God, like Miriam. We have all been righteous like Job, and see God allow the enemy to wreak havoc in our lives. We have been distracted like Martha, dead like Lazarus and beaten like Paul. The list is endless! But it all has purpose! We are being transformed into the image of God.
Dear God, I don’t know what people are going through, but we are feeling the winds blowing out of control against us. I know you say we have the victory, but many times it does not feel like we are victorious. I pray for all believers, that no one may give up on themselves, much less give up on you. May we humble ourselves to let you be God, and not cry about things that you have allowed in our lives. I pray for a meek spirit in each and everyone one of us to accept the life that has been handed to us, may we be content and celebrate the growth we are rising up to. May our perceptions be change, and our attitudes be aligned with less demand, and more offering. May we not be church people, and singers, and so called followers of Christ while wanting our own will and demanding it from you. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
