She kept his cloak beside her until his master came home. Then she told him this story: “That Hebrew slave you brought us came to me to make sport of me. But as soon as I screamed for help, he left his cloak beside me and ran out of the house.” Genesis 39:16-18
Don’t feel bad when people misjudge you. As long as you don’t lose sight of who you are, you’ll be fine. You know that everything is not what it seems.
Lord I pray against all demonic infiltration into our lives, whether work space, church space or in our homes. Your word says that even when it looked to Potiphar that Joseph had slept with his wife, you meant it for good. You allowed the false accusations, and the imprisonment because you were up to something divine. Even today, knowing that many of us stand in strange situations you know our truths. Just like you knew the truth about Joseph’s intentions and every single one of his actions and reactions.
Potiphar’s wife, who represented the enemy during this time of his life, used circumstance to disadvantage Joseph. I know that Joseph didn’t defend himself, and neither did our Lord Jesus. So, I pray for increased wisdom to be able to express our truths, or to be still and quiet when we are accused. I pray for you to fight for us because you are our vindicator, and you are our defender.
I take authority over every demonic spirit sent to destroy purpose, whether at work or in relationships. I pray your blood would repel him in Jesus name. Uncover the devil’s traps Lord, and show us in which direction to go and even what to do when the enemy has us where he wants us. I pray for revelation, discernment and light to come afresh into our spirits, that the enemy may not destroy our peace, our relationships or our prosperity.
I rebuke every spirit of slander, and of confusion which is ministering to any of your vessels right now God. And I rebuke every spirit of jealousy and envy now in the name of Jesus. I ask you lord to uncover our eyes to see your love in every situation, even ones that make us angry. I pray for a spirit of meekness when we are wrongfully accused, scolded or blamed for things outside of our control. And I pray for vindication overall, even for those who are serving injustices in jail or who have lost positions in their careers or in any kind of relationship. And God I declare the word that Isaiah 54 says “no weapon formed against me will prosper, and every tongue that rises up against me I condemn because this is my inheritance as a child of God”.
In Jesus name, Amen.
