For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation. Psalm 149:4
Your life is your story, and the adventure ahead of you is the journey to fulfill your own purpose and potential.
You were planned for God’s delight. He chose you to be here, alive today. God certainly did not need to create you, but He thought it was good. Parents delight in their children’s achievements, and accomplishments: so does God delight in us.
Parents also watch their children sleep (I am not a parent, but I do too!), and can you imagine that God does too. Even when we are up to nothing, God delights in us. We may be thinking and coming up with ideas, and there God is smiling at you, His daughter, His son. There is no reason to feel insignificant, worthless or not good enough.
People and situations that occur, have a very creative way of making us feel rejected, dismissed, unloved and even unimportant. Even when people treat us opposite to what we feel we deserve, it is not our place to believe them. Judgments are not ours to make, not about others, and much less about ourselves! God brings out into the open, all that we ask of Him in secret, only He knows our dreams, inner motives, and prayers! We should draw no conclusion that it is because we deserve such treatment. Look at God, He came from heaven to be a human and was treated worse than any other criminal. But did that change, His divine identity? Did it prevent Him from fulfilling His purpose here on the earth? Did He stop honoring His father, praying or loving others? Nope! And neither should we be affected, by negative things people do or say to us. Jesus sets the ultimate example for us to live life, God loved us enough, to offer His own life for us. If anything Jesus should’ve came to be crowned as the King of the world, in his own mansion: instead of growing up as a carpenter’s son. He should’ve had His feet washed, and his skin moisturized: instead He went about healing the sick and the oppressed of the devil. He should’ve been honored yet He was accused, beaten and rejected. And do you know why? For us.
For God so loved the world, He gave his ONLY begotten Son, so that all who believe in Him should not perish but receive eternal life. (John 3:16)
Father God, who are we, that you God should look on us with such love and care? I present to you all those who are reading, to receive a fresh dose of your love. May they receive new concepts of who you are, and how you see us. Despite of our flaws and shortcomings you love us dearly. To you, its not about what we do, but you search our hearts. And you know the intentions, cares and thoughts of our true self, our soul. I thank you for dying for us, even while we were still sinners. In Jesus name, receive all the glory God. Amen.
