Devotional 2/17

And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. Matthew 9:27-29

Satan trembles when he sees the weakest saint upon their knees.
William Cowper

Thank you Lord Jesus, for this day and all that you do and all you have done. I thank you for your presence, your joy and strength. I thank you that you empower us with your might each day. I thank you Lord, and praise you for your goodness and mercy which follows us every day of our lives.

Today, I present to you our minds lord Jesus. I pray for each person who is battling something in their mind. I know some things are caused by our biology chemistry, while others have been affected by their emotions or even circumstances. I pray for these people, and ask you to correct their minds. I know there are also people who have been influenced by different mediums, like music, photos and other imaging channels like videos, TV and movies. All of these seem to be independent causes, but we know that these are devices from the enemy of our souls. I ask you Lord, to give each of us the understanding and wisdom to know and perceive his tactics. We don’t want to spiritualize everything, but we don’t want to be ignorant of his working either. In the same way, let us not be so focused on what the enemy is doing and ignore that you are working in our favor despite what it seems. Image result for we all battle demons

I know there are cases where people’s thought life could not be interrupted by God’s spirit, because obviously there are other layers keeping that person from seeing your truth, your power and your love God. I also know that sometimes, prayer does not always give us the satisfaction we seek to cope with our situations, again because our perception is crooked. I present to you my God, all that has to do with mental issues Jesus. I know we have psychologists, psychiatrist and wards for the mentally challenged- but I also recognize it takes two to tango. If people can be helped by doctors, praise God but if you want to help them God, I pray you show them that you are on their side and are willing to help them out of their situations.

I present all people with mental challenges to YOU, because I know you can do more than I can ask or imagine. You are the God of the impossible, you are the Lord of lords and the creator of all that is seen and all the unseen. I pray for mental health for all who may be battling with these type of things.

I pray Lord Jesus for people who go through anxiety, and therefore overwhelm their mental capacity. I pray you would give these people, healthy activities to cope with their excess energy and self control to readjust their thought life. I pray for increased wisdom in their daily lives. I pray for those who battle addictive behaviors, may you give these people wisdom to apply self control. May they find ways to break the cycles the enemy has planted in their lives. I present those people to you, who have introverted or melancholic temperaments, of a soft and quiet natures; I pray that you would break barriers in these peoples minds. Whatever is holding them back from being decisive, bold, purpose driven and authoritative, I pray you open their understanding to your will. I pray for those who are neurotic, animated and expressive, I pray for them to have prudence in areas of timing, partnerships, volume and vocabulary. I also pray for those who are mentally challenged, may you restart the functions of their liver, pancreas and other glands which produce body chemicals and hormones according to your awesome design for their bodies. I pray for those who have been damaged, who are going through heartbreak- may they confront their issues and give you all the broken pieces so that you may mend them back to wholeness. Lord Jesus I ask you for those who think radical thoughts driven by sex, anger or sadness. Those prone to fantasies, and scenarios which are detrimental to their soul and give birth to sin. I rebuke depression, suicidal thoughts and hate in the name of Jesus.

I thank you for what you started, may we see the work you are doing and recognize what you’ve done even in our past. In the matchless and all powerful name of Jesus, Amen.
