Devotional 9/7

Do you know that all over the provinces of both Macedonia and Achaia believers look up to you? The word has gotten around. Your lives are echoing the Master’s Word, not only in the provinces but all over the place. The news of your faith in God is out. We don’t even have to say anything anymore—you’re the message! People come up and tell us how you received us with open arms, how you deserted the dead idols of your old life so you could embrace and serve God, the true God. They marvel at how expectantly you await the arrival of his Son, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescued us from certain doom. 1 Thessalonians 1:7-10

Your belief in God should make unbelievers question their disbelief in God.

Father God, we honor and exalt you. You are wonderful and majestic in all your ways, there is none like you and besides you there is no other. You areAlpha and Omega, you set time into motion, you are awesome Lord God Almighty.

Thank you for your special attention to each of our lives. We thank you for your faithfulness and for healing our brokenness. We thank you for setting our crooked paths straight, and for opening our spiritual eyes to see. May you receive glory from our lives, may you touch our lives in such a way that everyone will see that you have done a mighty work in us.

I present to you our bodies, may we be a living sacrifice at your feet. May your goodness drive us to living a life of repentance and good works. I pray you open the windows of heaven and pour out blessings much more than we can hold, and give us opportunities to bless others generously.

I ask you Lord that our faith may move mountains, our worship destroy walls that keep us from moving towards the Promised Land, and may the power of your might break bars of irons that we may walk through open doors. May our faith be seen by others as genuine believers of your word and power. And may we encourage and empower others to seek your face. May we extend the Good news to others.

I pray for wisdom, discernment and faith as we move towards fulfilling your call. And may we maintain a good testimony with those around us. May we put aside all that hinders us, and turn away from all sin that blocks us from moving forward. May our minds be renewed and our spirit be steadfast.

I pray for gifts and talents to be maximized as you call us to the next level. May Wisdom teach us the right path to take on a daily basis, may your Spirit teach us to be diligent at all times.

In Jesus name, Amen.
