Devotional 10/3

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11

We have all fallen, but the word says now we stand. Stand up against the wiles of the devil. God gets no glory in your misery, your defeat, your hopeless feelings. He is all you need to be an overcomer.
T.D Jakes

All powerful and Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus to present our lives to you as living sacrifices. I ask you to help ya walk each day in righteousness, and in obedience. We recognize that you died once, and for all: and therefore sin has been overcome. We know that you have made a way for us to enter into your holy place, your throne of mercy and we are forever indebted.

I ask you today to put on the armor of God, so that we may be able to stand against the darts of the enemy. You have told us that our enemies are not people, that those who come against us are spiritual powers in the heavenly realms. So today I ask you to teach, and remind us if we have forgotten, become negligent, or downright lazy. I pray that you would strengthen us spiritually, and give us the boldness we need to get back on the battlefield. I ask you most holy father that you would increase our discernment and wisdom so that we may always recognize that we are battling, or wrestling as your word says with rulers in high places.

I ask you today that we may willfully and strategically put on the armor of your spiritual as you have instructed in your word. So that we may be able to stand after all that Satan throws our way. See the source image

May we be able to stand firm, founded in your Truth as we tighten our core with your belt of Truth. May we put on the breast of righteousness, so that we may guard our hearts when the enemy attempts to contaminate us. I also ask that you would bless our feet, as we spread your gospel and bring reconciliation to others, may people have peace with you… through us.

I pray that you Jesus would pray for our faith to never fail, as you prayed for Peter and even after denying you, He was not given up as a lost case or a condemned soul. I pray that our faith would be defiant against all of Satan’s schemes. I pray for a hedge of protection like the one you had around Job, and may this also be true when it comes to our minds.

I ask you Lord God for the double edged sword, to be our foundation and standard. May what we speak be also what we live. May we be in constant prayer, using your word. May we use the word of God as our defense, our devil repellant and in our daily food.

I pray that you would teach all believers around the world, to be prayerful, vigilant and awakened in the spirit to carry out your daily tasks. I ask you all of this in Jesus name. Thank you Lord. Amen.
