Devotional 11/23

For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. Mark 5:28

Faith is like WiFi, it has the power to connect you to what you need.

The power of belief has more power than science can explain. There have been scientific studies conducted called Placebo effects. These studies use 2 subject groups suffering from the same illness/disease. One of these 2 groups is given actual medicine pills, while the second group is given sugar pills. Turns out that both groups were healed over the designated period of time. This is the power of faith, and the creator of our minds our Lord knows that when we believe: we truly will receive as we believe.

A few days ago, I pointed out that it is by faith that we draw power from God based on the story of the woman with the issue of blood. Today, a friend of mine brought up the point that there had been no interaction between the two; usually Jesus would go to the people and ask them questions or tell them what He desired to do: Jesus always looks for faith and agreement.

This woman believed Jesus had the power to heal her and that simply touching Him would be enough! The faith this woman had, communicated volumes to God. She thought to herself, He can heal me, this Man can heal my issue, if I could only touch even his clothing; I would be healed… and she was healed! She received her miracle, because she stood in faith and in agreement with the Truth of God.

The woman believed God could do a thing, and her faith provoked the power of God. Have you ever believed God?

Faith in God goes beyond believing God exists, it is knowing that He can act on your behalf.

Let’s pray:

Lord God, we thank you for today and for all the works of your hands. Thank you for giving us a new day. Today I ask you to increase each and every single persons faith. May your saints no longer be double minded believers, or doubting Toms. May your Spirit convict them as they grow in knowing you intimately. In Jesus name, Amen.
