Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness. Psalms 143:10
God gives us His strength by giving us His vision of things.
If I take a look at your life, can I tell where you are headed? Destination is determined by direction and I’ve learned that God directs us based on our agreement with Him. He does not force us to do or believe anything! He doesn’t save us until we ask Him to, and He doesn’t free us from disease, strongholds, or demonic oppression without us agreeing with Him first. God works from the inside out, through process and preparation, by faith.
His Spirit does most of the work in us, if we collaborate with Him. God does not change our circumstances immediately, because He changes our core! The Lord takes us into a journey of personal development, humility, vision and righteousness.
If we seek God with an open and humble heart, He can direct us. But if we are stubborn and close minded, then God will take us through a learning process called humble yourself. God is able to give us insight, wisdom and strategy, if we allow Him to come into our hearts. If we want to hear God, then we set our hearts and minds on this truth: and then we press in through reading the bible, praying, fasting, worship, etc. If we want a hint, or respond, then we look for Him, listen for impressions, and wait for Him. While others are sleeping, we’ll wake up to see what God is up to. We start the day in His presence, and even when tired, sad, or overwhelmed: we make it our business to spend time with the lover of soul.
The truth is that if we desire God, He will save us. It’s not about eloquence, knowledge or much doing. Salvation is based on faith, and faith agrees with God. The Lord then changes us from who we are into who He created us to be. Deep down, we all experience moments where we think we don’t love God enough, or that He doesn’t love us: these are detrimental thoughts which prevent our growth and maturity. Yes, we’ve missed opportunities, made wrong decisions, and even ran away from God! Sure, it’s true… but this only means that you’re a human being, still being processed: still under construction, and still maturing.
We have become partners with God, He is our TEAM Leader! If you do your part, He will do His!
Lord our God, thank you for filling our hearts with trust. Thank you for all you have us, and mostly for knowing your salvation, and grace. Thank you for all that you do for us, whether we deserve it or not. And thank you for giving us the freedom to choose in certain aspects of our lives, and thank you for directing us to choose your will. May your name be praised for the changes you make in our lives! In Jesus name, Amen.
