Devotional 2/10

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Hebrews 4:12

The proof that one truly believes is in action. Bayard Rustin

Being victorious has to more with overcoming than avoiding! We all have weaknesses, and temptations; but we are also being transformed by God’s divine nature.

The Bible says that the word of God is alive, and it truly is. Many unbelievers read the Bible as a fictional story, or a historical book. I have heard of certain people being convicted of Jesus lordship and their own sinful lifestyles, by reading the scriptures. The scripture says that God’s word is alive and active. This means that God is working in us through His word. The best remedy for weaknesses is to seek deliverance. Deliverance is not casting a demon out, deliverance can be as simple as having a moment of mind renewal, developing a new belief system and even having God break a pattern (chain) in the spirit. The word of God is powerful, it’s quick and alive, able to deliver us in an instant.

Jesus also said that when we know the truth, the truth will set us free. Do you struggle with anything in your life? Is there anything your thinking, in your actions or your lifestyle which need to change?

God can help! His Spirit is working in us giving us the will and pleasure to please Him. The Spirit is changing us from inside out.

Let’s pray:

Father God, thank you for life. Thank you for bringing us into your light. Thank you for counting us worthy of your love and goodness. I ask you today for each person who is facing an unchanging circumstance. May you glorify yourself in their inner being and open their eyes to see how to overcome. Thank you Lord. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
