You are our letter [of recommendation], written in our hearts, recognized and read by everyone. 2 Corinthians 3:2
Passion is the fuel that will keep us joyfully fulfilling our purpose.
Are you at the end of your rope… you’re actually at the end of your SELF! Shift your perspective: it’s not the end until God says it’s the end!God’s plan is for us to die to ourselves so that Jesus could reign. For the most part, we die daily: this feels like frustration, unanswered prayers, failure, hopelessness, apathy, grief and even suicidal thoughts. It may seem like a paradox… but it’s God’s way of killing our flesh.
The Lord desired to create us, and give us life. We were created on purpose, for purpose. And God’s purpose is that we live life as Jesus would on earth. If Jesus was in a human body as He was 2000 years ago, what would He be doing? If He was a judge, He would bring justice to all those who stepped foot in His courtroom. If He was a doctor, He would heal and intercede for everyone’s healing. If Jesus was a school teacher, He would develop Christian character and confidence in the youth. And oh Lord, what if He was a gymnast? He would train, follow the rules and perform to the best of His ability to bring glory to the Father. If He were a politician,I’m almost certain He would be an activist. We draw people closer to God, or further away by the way we live our lives (lifestyle).
We are all ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and many of us are walking epistles. There are some people who will never, or have never read a bible… yet they learn about God through YOU and me! Some of us have to let our dreams die, so that God’s dreams could come to life. The reality we see today, is momentary… God knows the end result. We see the big picture, He sees the details. We see scene 1, and scene 2, but He knows the entire movie script. Let’s not get stuck in one chapter of the story, while God is waiting for us to turn the page.
This world needs hope. This world needs peace. People may not realize what they want, but they want God. People need God. A Christian is a little Christ… and you may be the only little Christ in their midst! As you become more like Christ, you will see that it is all training ground for tomorrow.
Father God, you are my strength and my song. You are our mighty deliverer. You have become our salvation and our hiding place. I ask you to cover us, and our loved ones from any trap of the enemy. We praise and exalt you, you are our loving father and we ask you for wisdom, courage and direction. If any need faith, I pray you help our unbelief. In Jesus name, Amen.
