Devotional 4/11

Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Outdo yourselves in honoring one another. Romans 12:10

What you give you receive!

God wants us to always put others first.

The word says in John 10:10, that the enemy came to steal, kill and destroy; But Jesus came to give us life, and life in abundance. When you give from what you have, you are living from a place of abundance. And when you don’t, you are living from a place of lack. When we don’t share with others, what we have is not multiplied.

We curse ourselves, by living from a place of poverty. When we keep wisdom, testimonies and material things from others, we are withholding somebody else’s blessing! Mercy, grace and forgiveness are blessings God gives to us: so we should give to others as God has given to us.

Sharing is a way that we show God’s love to someone else. It’s also a way of letting God know that we value what He has given. Have you ever considered that God shares everything with us? He even shared His only son with us! Are you withholding things that are meant to bless others? Love looks like something, repent, and start today!

Let’s pray:

Father God, help us to be generous and not be selfish. Open our understanding and give us the desire to share with the people around us, who need what we have received. We ask for forgiveness for sitting on our blessings, being self involved and self conscious- help us see that your purpose is not about us- but about bring your name glory. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
