Devotional 4/15

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6

People do not just slip into Christianity; faith in Jesus must be chosen.

Faith is a decision. We either believe God, or do not. We believe the word of God or do not. The word says God draws our hearts, but His word also tells us to decide to believe.

There is one way to God, Jesus Christ is the Truth, the Door and The Way. We can’t play with the devil and expect not to be burned. We must have pure faith in Jesus Christ and no other. We cannot believe in Christian witches, have spirit guides or clear our chakras! Our imaginations, curiosity and inclinations are deceptive by nature. The word says the heart is wickedly deceptive: have you ever truly searched your heart? A heart without God is ruthless, a heart without the rod of God is high minded, and a heart without the staff of God is lost.

The Spirit of the Lord dwells in us, but He allows us to choose. We either choose Him, or we choose ourselves! We are not to trust in our own understanding, we are to trust in the Lord and He will direct us into all truth, assignments and breakthroughs.

Decide today whom you will serve. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Let’s pray:

Father God, thank you for the cross. Thank you for carrying your cross, and laying your life for us at the cross. You came to us, and we will never understand how great your love. You could have done anything in the world, but you chose to redeem us from death. Today I ask you to increase the faith of the ambivalent, conviction of your word to the inquisitive and grace to those enduring in the faith. In Jesus name, Amen.
