Devotional 5/2

I call to you, Lord, come quickly to me; hear me when I call to you. May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. Psalm 141:1-2

Our unexpected is never unexpected to God.

Christine Caine

Father God, you are the immortal king. Your kingdom is unshakeable and it will never end. I give you glory and honor for being the God of life, the God of restoration, the God who answers by Fire. The God who is an ever present help.

I thank you for giving us life, providing for us and opening unexpected doors. You know all that is coming our way before we experience it, and we thank you for being there before we get there. Thank you for admonition and exhortation, thank you for encouragement and wisdom. Thank you for strength and deliverance.

Lord Jesus, I present our hearts and minds to you. May you strengthen our mortal bodies to serve you faithfully until the end. Help us in our unbelief. And heal the wounds which are debilitating to our walk. I ask you to help us accept the things which have happened, and the choices we have made. I pray you also help us renew our minds and to keep our incense burning in the secret place. I pray Heavenly Father for a fresh desire to seek your face, to worship you in spirit and truth; and to renew a right spirit within us.

I also pray for protection for those who may be thinking of leaving your sheepfold, of ending their lives or even sabotaging their futures. May your voice be louder than the noise of the world or of our circumstances. You know each day that would come in our lives, and they don’t catch you off guard. Bless our homes and families, our churches, employment and cities.

I ask you for deliverance in the areas you see fit, and a revival in each of our lives. May we bear good fruit in each season we are in, and sow in fertile ground. May the fire of your spirit consume all lukewarmness, desperation and ambivalence in the name of Jesus. Amen!
