Devotional 5/21

Joseph named his older son Manasseh, for he said, “God has made me forget all my troubles and everyone in my father’s family.” Genesis 41:51

When God is ready for you to move, He will make your situation uncomfortable.

Thank you for your word lord God. Thank you for opening our eyes of understanding to see that which you speak. Thank you for helping us forget all our troubles. Thank you for giving us the strength we need to go after our next. For giving us the peace we need to receive your instruction, grace and favor. Thank you for turning our mourning into dancing, and our caves into places of thought and reflection. Thank you for making the cave and wilderness our places our quietness, where we saw you move in the stillness.

Today I pray for the strength of my brothers and sisters who have experienced frustration and disappointment. I ask you Lord to help them be fruitful, like Joseph and birth Manasseh’s. I pray for those who have been tired, may they cast their burdens on you.

May you use our frustrations to leap us into our next. May we accept what has been and move on to what will be. May our failed expectations direct us into your plan and purpose. May we be locked in and fully immersed in what you are doing moving forward. In the name of Jesus I pray!
