Devotional 6/7

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalms‬ ‭34:8‬ ‭

The coolest thing about God is that even a ‘no’ from Him, has goodness written all over it.

Thank you Lord God, for giving us of your Spirit. Thank you for making us yours. Today I pray for us to taste and see that you are good.

I present our prayer petitions to you Lord and ask that you give us the correct expectations of your will. I also ask that you show us the way we should take, as we do life with you on a daily basis. We know that you answer our prayers, and even the ones which seem unanswered is your way of saying something. Give us deeper understanding so that we may know what that ‘something’ is. You are all knowing, all powerful and ever present so I know these requests are not a challenge for you.

Your word says that you will give us the desires of our hearts if we delight in you, so I ask for grace to delight in you. Your word also says that you know how to give good gifts to those who ask, so I pray you give us those things which we ask of you. We being evil give those we love good things, how much more would you. You are God and there is no other besides you. And your ways are higher than our ways. I pray for your will to manifest in our lives.

And finally Lord, I pray for the broken-hearted, the anxious, the sick and the poor: may you meet them where they are Lord. I pray for the backslidden, and pray for a quickening in their Spirit to come back to the sheepfold. Im Jesus name I pray, Amen.

  1. Amen. I especially like where you said that “even a ‘no’ from Him, has goodness written all over it.” for it’s the truth.
