Devotional 6/19

My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: for they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt. Psalms‬ ‭71:24‬ ‭

Worship is an act of war against the enemy of our hearts.

Holley Gerth

Thank you Lord Jesus for your grace and wisdom. Thank you for being our great deliverer and our righteous father. Thank you for raising a standard when the enemy comes against our lives. Thank you for your word and the strategies you give us to defeat and overcome spiritual attacks.

I ask you to fill each of your sons and daughters with a spirit of praise and worship. May our lips continually sing you a new song. May our praise and worship confound the enemy of our souls.

I pray you fill our cups until we overflow, may you prepare a feast for us in the presence of our enemies. I present to you all those who are struggling with apathetic, inadequacy, fear, loneliness, depression and grief to receive strength to stand firm. May you visit those who are confused and those in need of direction, may you provide them clarity and wisdom. I pray for comfort and vigor for those who are hurting, and love for those who are broken-hearted. I pray for those who have been scarred, violated or abused and I ask you to heal their wounds and help them change the story they tell themselves. I ask you for discernment, may we make the right choices, and may you light a fire in those who are lukewarm.

I pray Lord Jesus for protection for all the children, hide them Lord; keep their comings and goings, and keep their hearts pure. I also pray for parents to receive finances, resources, wisdom, strategy and the fruit of your Spirit in order to raise healthy children. I pray for those couples who may need passion, understanding or strategies so that they can maintain a healthy home and a successful marriage. I pray you meet every person’s need Lord. In Jesus name, amen.
