Friday Word (8/2)

Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish. Isaiah 46: 10

The will of God will never lead you where the Grace of God will not protect you.

God cares about us; not only does He care – He also has a plan. And He actually has every detail to His plans and outcomes. The thing about us, is that we don’t always look for His plan, instead we easily do whatever we want to do.

We choose where to live, where we work and what type of work we do: we choose our schools, and what to study: we choose our friends, and intimate partners: we have free will, it’s true but God also has a will. God cares about who and what we invest our souls into. Ephesians 1:11 says that we’ve been predestined according to the purpose of HIM, who works all things according to the counsel of His will. God is a God of order: it’s up to us to be submitted to Him so that we can see those predestined moments (appointed times) of God. He has works for us to do, He has a set time and a set place for us.

The faithfulness of God is His sovereignty. It is based on the sincerity and the genuinety of our salvation, which causes all things to work together for our good. If we decide to not go His route, He will sovereignly cause things to happen to lead us back to where he wants us to be. But what if we could avoid the setbacks, the back and forth, some of the pain, the confusion, and all the in between?

It’s our choice to get into a relationship, to move into a different city, to leave a church or to stay in a church or even to backslide. What does God have planned for me? Where does He wants me to be? Who does He want me to friends with?

Nothing is too hard for God, He can lead you to the places He wants you to be and He knows how to speak to YOU so that you can listen.

May we be bold with our prayers for directions!

Let’s pray:

Thank you Lord God, for bringing us to knowing you, and even more important that you have called us to know you. I pray for each person reading, and ask you to open their eyes and ears to sense your direction, to perceive the new things you are doing and to hear your voice louder than any other voice. In Jesus name, Amen. See the source image
