Get ready!

Now Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink, for there is the sound of the roar of an abundance of rain. 1 Kings 18:41

The only way to be fruitful for God is if your heart is in His garden.

Rain is important and necessary in the natural. It feeds the green of the earth: plants, flowers, grass, herbs and trees and replenishes our water systems, including the bodies of water which aid the ecosystem. The rain of God is the same; it is numerous in blessings, for both our inner and outer lives.

In the book of 1 kings, the lord impeded rain to fall over Israel which caused a drought in the land. There was water to drink, but not enough to develop food for survival. There was scarcity, sickness and death. After 3 years, the Lord told Elijah to tell Ahab, the king at the time, that it would rain again. And it did, after Elijah prayed 7 times. The rain of God in our lives is important and necessary! When it comes over our lives it purifies and re-calibrates our atmosphere. It cleans and and washes our mind, heart and spirit. It causes growth and expansion. And it also replenishes our spirit.

Expect the overflow of blessings, expect the rain of God. Blessings that we did not expect are coming now.

Let’s pray:

Thank you lord Jesus for your rain! Thank you for bringing fresh waters into our lives, for purifying our atmosphere and bringing us into a plenteous and fruitful season. I pray for expectancy to be resuscitated in our lives, as we wait for your rain. In Jesus name. Amen.
