Thanksgiving

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thess. 5:18

love the life you live, live the life you love

Some days are better than others but for some reason we’ve been given another day: that’s a privilege.  We all struggle, we all suffer but we should be grateful for what we have. We live a privileged life:
  • while there are some suffering on a hospital bed, we have the privilege of being up and about
  • while there are people who are disabled, we have a sound mind blessed with ability and agility

We aren’t happy that other people are suffering, but if we put our problems in a pile; I’m sure you’d pick up your own set of problems rather than someone else’s. We can find some thing to be thanksful for; there is some good in every negative circumstance.

Gratitude: the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.

Gratitude goes a long way and although it can be challenging to focus on the good things, adopting gratitude into our lives brings change. It may not change our circumstances, but it does change us. Things may not ever get easier, but we do get better. We learn new skills, become more self-aware and learn to manage and make better decisions that are beneficial for life.

Keep your head up.

Let’s pray:

Thank you Lord Jesus, for your presence and company. We are grateful for the privilege you give us on a daily basis, thinsg which which sometimes fly over our heads. I pray for each of us, your sons and daughters, to experience gratitude in a different way. May every person stuck in a negative paradigm, adopt a thankful attitude despite of adverse circumstances. I pray this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
