Prayer for the heart

A good person produces good things from the abundance of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. Luke 6:45

The only truths that last are those of the heart.
Marty Rubin

Father God, thank you for your loving heart. Thank you for being the God of justice and restoration. You make yourself known as the merciful and benevolent God. You are the good Father who even in anger loves us enough to correct us. You are the God who weighs our hearts and who gives to us according to what is in it.

Today I present to you our hearts. I pray for your love and presence to renew a steadfast spirit within us and remove any dirt or residue still remaining in our hearts. I ask you for those who struggle with offense and rejection, may you deliver them once and for all. May all the fruit that has born from these sins be burned up by the fire of your holy spirit. All fear, resentment and forms of depression be incinerated in Jesus name. I ask you to uproot all bitterness, wrath and resentment from our hearts. May the places which are left empty be filled with your precious blood Jesus. I rebuke shame and guilt by the authority of your name. And cast down pride and arrogance in Jesus name.

May each person release the past, their mistakes and even the wrongs of others. I ask you for a heart of forgiveness and mercy towards self and others. I pray for renewal of minds and open hearts. May each of your sons and daughters learn to tell new stories about their lives. Shift our perspectives and give us fresh revelation so that we may see things how you want us to see them. May we be who you created us to be both inside and out. I even pray for those who believe that certain behaviors are part of their personality when in reality they are acting from childhood programming, soul ties and even demonic influence. I pray for liberation and healing, full deliverance for your children Lord. Help and teach us to guard our hearts above all things! In Jesus name, Amen.
