You’ve been justified

Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Romans 8:33

Justified means just as if you’ve never sinned.

Joyce Meyer

The Lord died once and for all, once we accept His sacrifice for us we are justified. The Lord has paid the price in full. He said “it is finished”.

We may have been taught that God is a dictator in heaven with a list of our wrongdoing and wrong thoughts. But the God we serve has made it known to us that He will continue the work He started in us until the day of Jesus Christ. A parent may not approve of their child’s behavior, but that child continues to be their child: they are highly esteemed, still loved and accepted. Our father God has wiped our slate clean, our past, present and future wrongs. We will be rebuked and corrected, but this is by the sanctification of the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God continues to work in us as long as we have breath.

Are you living in freedom or are you boggled down by fear of punishment? Perfect Love casts our fear (1 John 4:18), yet he who fears does not know the love of God. We choose to live in what the Lord has done for us or we live according to our flesh and soul (thoughts, will and emotions). We achieve salvation only through depending on the grace of God, not through our self discipline or good deeds.

Receive the love of God and walk in freedom. Allow the Spirit of God to work in you and grow!

Let’s pray:

Father God thank you for being holy and just. You are a good, good father. We love you for first loving us. I pray you help us walk in your love, may our confidence in you be steadfast and our faith continue to grow strong roots. May our lives manifest your love, power and glory! In Jesus name, Amen.
