Then I gave them my report: “Face it: we’re in a bad way here. Jerusalem is a wreck; its gates are burned up. Come—let’s build the wall of Jerusalem and not live with this disgrace any longer.” I told them how God was supporting me and how the king was backing me up. They said, “We’re with you. Let’s get started.” They rolled up their sleeves, ready for the good work. Nehemiah 2:17-18
Kingdom builders are not merely interested in having followers,
but in raising up other leaders.
Thank you father God for today. Thank you for giving us a new day, a new chance, a new opportunity to do life. You didn’t have to but you did. We give you glory for being the all powerful and the all knowing, everything is under your control. You are God and there is no other God besides you.
Lord God, I present kingdom builders to you. Some of us are building physical businesses, corporations, organizations and even residential & commercial spaces. Others are building a home with their families, setting boundaries in their relationships, and relationships in general. There are even others who are building themselves up, maybe a wall around their hearts or rebuilding their self-image. May you give these your sons and daughters the tenacity and favor of Nehemiah in any and every area.
I pray our prioritizing, planning and strategic thinking skills increase daily, I ask you these favors for each person building something. May you give people an inkling and a refocus to work on their individual and personal things without seeking the approval, recognition of validation from others. Cast out spirits of comparison and even the copy cats who would want to copy what we do. I pray for peace for those who have a lot of responsibilities on their plates and who need to make important decisions, may you lead their path and give them wisdom.
I pray each of us to find and stay in our lines, help us to steer clear of wasting our time on things even if we may be talented or successful in an area. I pray for those who need to make life life altering decisions, may you help them overcome limitations set by past experiences or ill words spoken. May you fill them with hope. I pray you help us set our faces as flint when we face ridicule, threats, slander, accusations and opposition. May you bring people into our lives without underlying intentions or personal agendas, who are called to be our fellow co-laborers as we build for the kingdom of God.
I give you honor Lord for giving us wisdom and favor, may your vision be our vision on this earth. In Jesus name, Amen.
