Hold on, enjoy the journey!

Do not be afraid, you worm Jacob, little Israel, do not fear, for I myself will help you,” declares the LORD. Isaiah 41:14

The end result is worth the pain.

The worm goes through a serious process to become a butterfly. We all know it goes into a cocoon, but so we recognize that it has to melt first?

The Lord does similarly to us. He takes us through different processes to expose our imperfections, leaving us wounded and vulnerable. The scriptures say that the same God who causes the wound also mends it (Job). And when we look at the people in the Bible they are no different, they also have to endure a process to reach God’s desired result.

Joseph was betrayed and imprisoned before he became 2nd in command of Egypt. David had to continue as a shepherd for his fathers flock. And Jacob has to wrestle with The angel of the Lord to become Israel. We may find ourselves tired or discouraged by the process, but train your minds to enjoy the journey with God.

Let’s pray:

Thank you Lord Jesus for your grace and divine nature working in us. I pray for the saints who may feel tired of fighting the same battles or discouraged when coming face to face with their weaknesses and imperfections. I pray for an increase desire to go after you and all you desire for us. I rebuke shame, guilt and rejection in Jesus mighty name, amen.
