Prayer: receive what God has for you!

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. 2 Chronicles 16:9a

What you believe you want, may be different from what you deserve.

Thank you father God for today, for your presence in our lives and for your everlasting love. Today I pray according to Isaiah 61. I declare that the Spirit of Lord is upon each of us. We’ve been anointed to bring good news to the poor, to comfort the brokenhearted and proclaim freedom to those who have been bond. We declare freedom, he who the Son sets free is free indeed! May we be solutions for people!

May we be the ones who to announce that the time has come for the Lord to show his kindness and His judgment against the wicked. May we be the ones who comfort those who are sad, and who are mourning. We receive your promise to take away the shame of our lives, and give us a crown instead of those ashes on our head. Thank you Jesus, for taking away our sadness, and giving us the oil of gladness! Thank you God!

Thank you for taking away our sorrow, and giving us new clothes to wear! Thank you for showing us favor, and crowning us with beauty! Thank you for giving us new songs, a new praise and taking away hopelessness. Thank you for raising us up as trees of righteousness, we are plantings of the Lord, so that You are glorified. And all the things which have been destroyed in our lives, you promise to rebuild. You promise to restore, thank you Lord in advance.

You said you will revive our lives and our homes, thank you Jesus. May doors be opened and hearts touch to serve us. May those that do not know us bless us, and show us favor! We are called priests of the Lord, ministers of our God! You said that we will feed on the wealth of the nations and boast in their riches, and instead of shame and dishonor, we reap a harvest of a double share of honor. May we possess a double portion of prosperity in our lands, and revel in your everlasting joy.

You said you will reward us for our suffering and you will be faithful to keep your covenant for us. May we be recognized and honored as blessed for being your people everywhere we go. Thank you Jesus for giving us salvation, for adorning us with the clothes of salvation and precious jewels.

Show your justice to the nations of the world God! May your faithful ones spring up like plants everywhere! In Jesus name, Amen.

Double for your trouble!

Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you. Zechariah 9:12

You need a calling that is worthy of your commitment. Nothing worse than being committed to something that’s less than you.
TD Jakes

In the book of Job, we first see the ‘double for your trouble’ theme. Job lost his family, his wealth and employees and his health. He argues with God, and with his friends, but he did not curse God; in return God restored him, double for all his troubles.

The context of Zechariah 9 is the prophetic declaration that the people of God would be restored double for their trouble too. They would saved by the coming of the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He declared unto them that their enemies would be destroyed, and they would receive twice as much good for the evil they had suffered. This promise is for us to possess as well, God has been telling us that He is restoring us from the inside out and 2019 is the year of establishment.

The Lord made a covenant with the people of Israel, and He wanted them to know He would not let them down or forget about them.  The Lord called His people: prisoners of hope. The Lord wanted them to know that He could be counted on, even if they were struggling, even if life was not perfect, even if they had suffered a while, they could place their hope in God.

As children of God let’s be prisoners of HOPE! When we place our hope in God, we can rest in believing and expecting for Him to act on our behalf. We can have hope in God!

Let’s pray:

Thank you Jesus, we receive double for our troubles! Thank you for your word, for your faithfulness and your attention to us. I pray you strengthen our hearts to keep our integrity at all times. I pray we would be great stewards of your blessings and restoration, and never take your goodness or favors for granted. In Jesus name, Amen.

Hold on to HOPE!

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1

The waiting itself is beneficial to us: it tries faith, exercises patience, trains submission, and endears the blessing when it comes. The Lord’s people have always been a waiting people.

Charles Spurgeon.

Hope is more than making a wish! Hebrews 11:1 says that in order to have faith we must have certainty and a hope of something. If we do not have hope, then we cannot have faith!

Hope is to desire and expect something to happen. Hope gives us stability as believers. God has given us promises and we wait in expectation, but what happens when we have waited on God, and nothing seems to ‘manifest’? The bible says that when hope is deferred (postponed, delayed) it makes the heart sick, but having hope brings joy (Prov. 13:12, 10:28).

The enemy of our souls works to make and keep people hopeless, but greater is HE (Jesus) who is inside of us than he (Satan) who is in the world (1John 4:4). His greatest success is to discourage us to the point of despair. And despair is the opposite of hope: its the loss of absence of it. It grows from recurring disappointments and discouragements in life. When we lose hope, we lose love, passion, faith and desire for things, including life itself. As the enemy of our souls, Satan aims to kill, steal and destroy our love, hope and faith (John 10:10, 1 Cor. 13:13).

The antidote of despair and depression is to hope, Psalm 42:11 says, Why are you cast down, O my soul? Don’t be discouraged. Expect God to act!

Let’s pray:

Thank you Lord Jesus, for renewing our hope. Thank you for making your word true in our lives, for giving us joy and peace as we place our expectations back to you, I pray that hope overflows in us by the power of your holy spirit. In Jesus name, Amen.

Social Connections

When Naomi heard in Moab that the LORD had come to the aid of his people by providing food for them, she and her daughters-in-law prepared to return home from there. Ruth 1:6

We associate with people the way we see ourselves.
Joel Osteen

In the book of Ruth, the Bible tells the stories of Ruth, Noemi and Orpah. Orpah and Ruth had been married to Noemi’s sons, but they passed away. Although death can be the end of many relationships, we always have options: we choose who stays in our lives.

We don’t choose who comes into our lives: we choose who stays in our lives. Orpah decided that it was the end of the road for their relationship, she went back to Moab. But Ruth on the other hand decided to stick with Noemi, until the end of the road. She said wherever you go I will go. And your God will be my God (Rut. 2). There was a conviction in Ruth to stay connected to her. There was something in Noemi which Ruth identified with, and although Noemi could not see it, their relationship served purpose. It turns out that Ruth would catch the eye of a wealthy kinsman, who would redeem her life and Noemi’s too.

Redeem:

  • compensate for the faults or bad aspects of (something);
  • gain or regain possession of (something) in exchange for payment;
  • (of a person) atone or make amends for (error or evil);
  • fulfill or carry out (a pledge or promise);
  • atone for, make amends for, make restitution for;

God has people on standby to show us favor, and bring resolution to our needs. Some connections seem to have no purpose, but in God all relationships work for our benefit (Rom. 8:28). Certain people come into our lives are for a season, while others are for a lifetime. They either teach us life lessons, refine our character, or lead us to open doors. Choosing the wrong people can keep you from your destiny!

Let’s pray:

Thank you Lord Jesus for bringing relationships into our lives. I pray you increase our wisdom and discernment so that we may choose the right friends, and partnerships. I ask you for the conviction to hold on to the right relationships in our lives, and the courage to walk away from the wrong ones. In Jesus name, Amen.

Who’s the God of this world?

 The ruler of this world has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They cannot see the light of the Good News—the message about the divine greatness of Christ. Christ is the one who is exactly like God. 2 Corinthians 4:4

Every converted sinner is a saved sinner. Mathew Henry

Testimony:
Growing up I was raised to believe I was Catholic, but I didn’t do much other than being sprinkled with water when I was 7 or 8 years old. My grandma was Jehovah Witness, and she gave me bible studies. As I went on to my teenage years, I didn’t want to be a Jehovah Witness so I went into my own search for the Truth. I believed in Jesus, Allah, white magic, astrology and anything that helped me have a spiritual experience. I didn’t believe in God, I believed in a higher being. I was not religious, I was spiritual. I prayed in the name of Jesus, but I believed in the universe and oneness: lit candles, did spiritual baths, used chakras, the law of attraction and creative visualization and had my palms, the cards and my coffee mugs read.

After coming to Christ, the Lord has opened my understanding to what spirits were working in me. I am so happy to know JESUS CHRIST, and pray you do as well. I’m sharing these details about me because I’m very similar to many of you. And I know what it is like to be deceived by Satan, to be saved by Jesus Christ. I’ve been changed by the Truth. I just know that God loves each and every single one of you, and wants you to know that He is ready and willing to come into your life. I’ve also been set free from other spirits like homosexuality, lascivious, and others; But because of the dimension of the new age religion coming against us and our children, it’s necessary to speak about higher consciousness.

The bible says that Satan is the prince of the powers of the air: he rules the kingdom of the air, and is currently at work in those who disobey God (Eph. 2:2). Spirit in Greek is pneumatos, meaning wind, breath, spirit. Satan’s agenda works with his spiritual agents: evil spirits have some power of influencing us through and in the air. Evil spirits like the air are invisible, they sends thoughts to people minds and tempt them into worldly directions, and contrary to the will of God. The last thing Satan wants is for people to be saved, and thereafter to fulfill the purpose of God in their life.

Satan is the major influence in this world: his influence is evident in the world’s ideas, values, entertainment, education, and beliefs. And currently Satan is devouring souls through higher consciousness. Meditation, chakras opening/clearing, astrological orbits, breathing exercises, yoga, crystals, astral projections, channeling spirit guides, and other things are seeking to awaken the god in man. Most New Agers also consider Jesus a spiritual teacher, guru or a spirit. Higher consciousness is a constructed spiritual perspective, relying mostly on being in the moment and exercising self control, while seeing things objectively to the experience of here and now. It’s great to meditate and become more spiritually attune, but there is no such thing as oneness. The practices of the New age religion (or movement) are against God: all paths do not lead to God.

The god of this world blinds our minds, so that we cannot see the light of the gospel: the glory of Christ. The gospel is crazy to many people, but it is God’s power at work in us(Rom. 1:16). It is my prayer that everyone messing with the occult would see the Light.

Let’s pray:

Father God, thank you for salvation and for raising me up in you. I hope and pray that everyone gets to encounter You, Your presence and Your love. May each person we know and love, and even the strangers we come across know the Truth, so that the Truth would set them free. In Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer: For God to bring His salvation

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. John 1:1

Jesus Christ is the Word of God, who was made flesh for our sake.

Thank you Lord Jesus for another day. Thank you for being the ever present God; the one who is with us through each and every situation. Thank you for opening our eyes to see and experience your all knowing and all powerful being. Today I pray for all the people who want to know you but do not believe they are ‘good enough’, or able to ‘submit to your rules or regulations”. I ask you give them supernatural strength to move forward and towards you. I pray they can stand firm in the faith they have, and in their hunger and thirst for the Truth, for a higher being or for a spiritual experience.

Thank you for being our balm of Gilead Jesus, for healing our hearts and changing our minds. I pray you protect the minds and hearts of those who don’t know you yet. Protect them from spirits of confusion, insanity and delusion. I ask you to open the eyes of their understanding, so that they may come close to you. Your word says that you come close to those who come close to you, so I pray that this is their experience. I pray your angels would be dispatched and they would minister to those who are to be saved!

Thank you for being our mighty deliverer, the God who fights for us, saving us and freeing us from all things. I ask you Lord to have mercy on us all. I ask you Holy Spirit to visit those who are struggling with faith, those who have been feeding their curiosity with the different truths given by the world and those who willfully resist and oppose you. I ask you to open each persons mind and heart to move past hearsay and knowledge. May each person take a leap of faith to seek you. I ask you to soften their hearts so that they may perceive and receive you, and I also ask you to convict them of their wrongs and need of you God.

I also stand in the gap for those who have resisted you, those who are thinking about you and have fears of going to church or committing themselves to you, I pray you meet them where they are. I stand in the gap for those who have been introduced to different belief systems; but have a desire to find out if YOU are real and are afraid to take a step of faith: may you be the fire in their bones to do so. Your word says that whoever believes will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. I pray that Your will to save us all is fulfilled.

And finally, I also pray for those who have drifted away from the truth. I ask you Lord Jesus to awaken their spirit, and put a will and desire for you again. May you visit each individual Jesus. We may not be able to reach all people, but you can reach them Lord. Nothing is impossible for you Lord.

May they receive life through your son Jesus Christ, Amen.

Friday word: The Judgment of God

And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. John‬ ‭3:19‬ ‭

To think of God as a merciful God, and forget He is Just: is to underestimate Him.

The scripture says the light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness more. In other words, Jesus Christ came to save us all, but some love their evil deeds more than righteousness.

The mercy of God is so great that it extends to give us chance after chance to change our ways. When we choose not to repent, then it results in the judgement of God and (spiritual) death. Spiritual death is to be separated from God and to come out of His protective covering. For instance, King Nebuchenezzer and King Saul were both judged by God for their pride: they lost their kingdom and their minds. When the presence of God is absent, we are prey to spirits of all kinds (hint: both of these men were tormented by spirits of lunacy/ insanity). Nebuchenezzer repented and was restored, but King Saul did not and was killed in battle. Some speak mostly of the love of God, while others focus on His judgement: but the Bible says He is a great and dreadful God!

The last thing God desires is for us to be afraid of Him, to walk in shame or with guilt for missing the mark (sinning). But we decide if we will honor God or not. Loving the flesh, the things of this world and anything contrary to the word of God, blocks us from the love of God, knowing Him and discerning His will for us! The will of God is not for us to live apart from Him, but that everyone is saved. He desires for us to walk humbly with Him as our God and obey His His word.

The Lord desires to have a relationship with each one of you! Do you love your ways more than you love God? Do you value your opinions, your feelings, your comfort, or any thing else more than you love the Lord?

Jesus Christ is coming again, and this time He will not come to save the world, but to judge the world.

May we be found blameless at His return!

Let’s pray:

Lord Jesus, I ask you to have mercy on us all. May you awaken our spirits to your love and righteousness. Help us to live as you want us to live. May we be separated from evil, and even the appearance of evil, but never from your presence. In Jesus name, Amen.
